Skidsteer Loader/ Equipment Trailers
Skidsteer Loader/ Equipment Trailers are heavy-duty trailers designed to carry the extra weight of these heavy machines. Be sure to understand the difference between GVWR Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, and the much more important PAYLOAD CAPACITY ratings for these trailers. GVWR is the total combined weight of the trailer, and its cargo. Payload is the GVWR minus the weight of the trailer, and should be a number greater than the weight of the machine and supplies you intend to put on the trailer.
Example: Some manufacturers call their trailer a 5 ton, or 10,000 lb. trailer, and may lead you to believe this is the weight they will carry, while in fact you need to subtract the weight of the trailer, usually 2,000 to 2,500 lbs. for this size trailer, effectively dropping the payload capacity to 8,000 or 7,500 lbs.
We have trailers with payload capacities of 8,000, 10,000, 12,000, 14,000 lbs., and more, to suit your needs for much of today’s larger, heavier equipment. We also sell tie down chains and binders to help you safely secure your equipment to the trailer.
